A little (free) initiative we offer at the Parallel Movement is this: We are providing free encouragement to you! Ask and you will receive :-) If you are feeling like you need a little lift or boost, just send us a quick message and a response will come with encouragement and kind words. Consider it like this. Remember when there was that trend, "free hugs", on the street. Or remember that trend on Wall Street, when bankers and financiers could unload their anger and frustrations on to a person (for a tip). Well, we have a service like that. It is a free virtual hug for you! Instead of hugs, instead of yelling, we are going to send you some personal encouragement, words of hope, or kindness. You send: "Do I look fat in this?" We say: "Are you kidding? You look amazing!" The only thing you got to do is this: Write an email to here: parallelmovement@protonmail.com (this is a closed email address, monitored only by our professional encouragers). Subject line: "Need a Boost" And that's it. You can add more words, or just write "Need a Boost". The Lovely Parallel Movement team will send back some words of inspiration, encouragement or the like. For instance, Email: parallelmovement@protonmail.com Subject Line: "Need a Boost" Response: We hope you are doing amazing. You really are an absolutely awesome person, and we know that you are going to do amazing things today. That's because you are strong, kind and wise. Keep going" (All emails are confidential and your privacy respected). One point. Is if you are really struggling mentally, you should seek professional help. This is not a replacement or substitute for accredited advice. The intention is really to send more love and encouragement. And to be a resource for you!

Here's a great video that highlights what Parallel thinking is all about. When you have alternatives, you have strength. When you have a problem, and able to move towards a solution, you have freedom. Really loving this video. It captures the thinking around possibility and abundance. "We can take this in another direction. We got to free ourselves of this perceptual dependency on the system". Let's make parallel system now.
Are there other ways of living? ... Yes, of course there are. content media

I wanted to introduce this first update from the Parallel Movement. Thanks to all for your support and interest. I anticipate the next few years will be quite amazing and interesting. This first update is quite simple. I want to provide a background on the parallel movement, explain its goals, and present reasons for its becoming. To start off, if you click on the above image, I hope you get a nice calming sensation. It from the Kawaerake (Wooden Rake) series and is the sounds of tending a Zen garden. It is amazing that in such a complex and stressful world that simple sounds and actions can be so create calm. Not sure why, how it captures the Zen moment of this first update. Where the idea for the parallel movement came from? Parallel societies have been around for centuries. They tend to stem in response to injustice or discrimination of groups. The label is used often pejoratively, and applied to ethnic or racial groups. Usually, the parallel society emerges of its own accord (or because the members have run out of options). They then live in a society, albeit holding different interests and perspectives. This is until a time when the parallel movement values tend to prevail. Then a 'new society' is born. I thought of these micro-city parallel movements of the past, and the need for new thinking around a global parallel movement. The idea really was sparked in the middle of 2021. Individuals across the world were distressed, feeling bleak and hopeless (evident in conversations on the global social media platforms). It was pretty clear why. On top of lockdowns, people were being coerced into taking vaccines, irrespective of whether or not taking these experimental drugs were in their own interests. Even worse, people were forced to choose between compliance or losing their jobs and livelihoods. They were often forced to make radical changes, and also to suffer distress and its consequences. In my opinion, it was for no good reason. The anger and stress continued to build. For my own part, I was angry and annoyed. It was distressing to see people suffer financially, emotionally, and psychologically. Was there some relief? Then again, the response from loads of people (myself included) was simply negative and not-productive. I was reading accounts of people frustrated with the science, the government, and Big Pharma. The discussion was circular though (and I was in the middle of the circle). There's only so many times you can point out the research findings, and the drugs don't work. It was around August 2021 that I decided that I didn't want to be apart of the blaming and negativity. I'm not an angry person. And I felt like I was being railroaded by a global monopoly into holding a response that wasn't me. That's when I really wanted to find a different way. I want to live simply. I want to live in a world where people are supported, encouraged, and hold positive emotions and experience positive experiences where possible. I'd prefer to laugh than cry, and rather than disconnected from humanity to be attached to it. So, I wanted to focus on something positive, something that would provide hope to people. Why Alternatives are important in our lives? A big problem that the last couple of years has raised to me is that people have little access to alternatives. As such, they have little access to power. The ultimate power in any negotiation is to walk away. The next best thing is to have alternatives. It was this point, I thought about different industries and parts of the economy where people needed to hold power. It's clear to me now, with some hindsight that we must avoid the situation of the past couple of years. We need to avoid being trapped. If we have learnt nothing, then it has been a wasted two years. It is now time to build alternatives. It is now time to live a better present, and to get those structures ready for the future. The motto for the parallel movement is that "There are always alternatives". Individuals with alternatives have LOADS of power. Why the Mainstream Society is doing us a disservice? It may sound extreme, but I contend that the individual experience for many, over the past couple of years, is being abused. Whether people are vaxxed or not, there is virtually no-one who has remained unscathed from the covid 'response'. For those vaxxed or not, I liken the experience to someone being love bombed, and then suddenly having the carpet pulled out from under them. Governments have supported democracy and freedom of expression for decades. And now they have tried to turn off the tap of liberty. This is what domestic abusers do. They work in cycles: give you a little, take away a little, bash you a little, be nice to you a little. The ultimate goal is to get out of that situation. Find a different place where you can heal and recover. It's not to say with the abuser. This is the case with the Mainstream Society. The more I think about it, the more Mainstream society leads to negative outcomes. Schooling is increasingly indoctrination and making kids feel bad about themselves and the world. Media promotes fear and anxiety. Locking people into the financial system is little more than modern day slavery. Big businesses are dreadful, and living your days out in a poorly lit cubicle is the pits. The Standard diet makes you feel tired, fatigued and generally crappy. Health is about popping pills and getting jabbed with unknown chemicals. And so on .... It's fortunate that I have a life where I can live outside the mainstream. While I'm in a city, I can still live a comfortable alternative existence. I can choose alternatives. To this extent, I am free. I want this option for other people - as many as possible. If something is not working in your life, then they have the opportunity and alternative to fix it. You first need to identify what it is, and then have the information and resources available to make the change. That's where the Parallel Movement comes in. The Future for the Parallel Movement To tell you the truth, I have very little idea of where the parallel movement is going to go. I do know this. Since announcing the Parallel Movement idea in August last year, we have had close to 1,000 volunteers offer to help it grow. (Thank you!) There's a general ennui around the world: Is this all there is? Can't we do things differently? What are the alternatives? A great resignation is happening. People want more freedom, and we should have a society that supports, not discourages, that freedom. We are facing loads of challenges still: jobs and employment, better media, better schooling for kids, a fairer financial structure, and access to sustainable living (to name a few). Individuals and groups involved in parallel societies and alternative living need protection, support, and networks. Hopefully we can contribute to this. The final thing I want to say is this: There are two goals of the Parallel Movement: First, to describe and to share as many as possible parallel movement initiatives across the 12 domains. We hope to provide a load of knowledge and information in the form of blogs, links, articles, DIY workshops, information to network with others, and events, to support your life. Time will tell if this is useful, but we are sure going to give it a crack. Second, to advocate and to promote parallel living. I contend that mainstream society is toxic. We need alternatives, to identify those alternatives, and to support those alternatives. Whether it be athletes, musicians, educators, health leaders and medical experts, media figures and so on. We need options for people that are better and more enriching. Clearly, the Parallel Movement is something I am passionate about. However, it is not 'mine'. It has been set up purposely as a non-profit. While I have a 25 year plan for the Parallel Movement, I sincerely hope the Parallel Movement can outlast me, and many more humans after that. It is being built to last. And it is built always to be on the side of humanity, individual freedom, and the right of all people to choose their own destiny. I really hope we can make something special Thanks for reading, enjoy the day, and so very much looking forward to the journey ahead! Dr Brendan Moloney
